The City of Oviedo is pleased to announce its 2008/09 recertification in FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and Community Rating System (CRS) Program that enables City of Oviedo residents and businesses to receive discounts on their Flood Insurance. 

By continuing to perform flood protection activities above and beyond the minimum requirements of the NFIP, the City was awarded enough CRS points to obtain a Class 8 recertification resulting in a flood insurance reduction percentage of ten percent (10%) for City of Oviedo citizens. 

If you currently have flood insurance or are thinking about purchasing flood insurance, make sure you talk to your insurance provider regarding your eligibility to receive up to a ten percent (10%) discount on your premiums.  For more information, please contact the Public Works Engineering Manager at 407-971-5649.
