During 2007 and 2008 the City of Oviedo in partnership with The Oviedo Preservation Project (TOPP), and Seminole County conducted a historical survey of structures older than or nearing 50 years located in the City and adjacent to the City in unincorporated Seminole County.  Phase I surveyed 150 structures and Phase II, 344 structures totaling 494 structures inventoried in the City of Oviedo and vicinities.
