City of Oviedo Receives William C. Schwartz Innovation Award

The City of Oviedo received the William C. Schwartz Industry Innovation Award from the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC). The City was the only municipality receiving the award. Representing the City were Mayor Andrews, Councilman Schenck and Jay Stainer, program coordinator.

The City was selected for its creative water conservation program, H2Oviedo. The program assists city residents through a combination of water‐wise improvements that reduce potable water usage.

This Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission award is presented annually to organizations from the Orlando region that have implemented innovative programs in the areas of business processes, technology development, strategic partnerships, products or services.

For more information on the H2Oviedo program visit the City’s web site at www.cityofoviedo.net. Under the “Latest in Oviedo” panel.
