Oviedo Blvd. and Oviedo on the Park Project

Infrastructure work has not started at Oviedo on the Park due to unknowns involving the private developer.  this project is currently on hold.

The latest renderings of Oviedo on the Park are available for download from the City website homepage. This project was approved by the voters of Oviedo in May 2003. It provides a total of $9M in General Obligation Bonds to construct the utility infrastructure for the downtown and approximately $4.5M of the nine million to design, permit and construct an amphitheater facility, its infrastructure and its grounds.

Design work continues to define the densities, architectural elements, landscape elements and the synergy between public and private spaces.

Oviedo Boulevard, an extension of the former Division Street, which ends just south of CR 419 near the Oviedo Aquatic Center & Gymnasium, opened to traffic on January 10, 2007, landscaping work is complete along the roadway. Motorists and pedestrians can now traverse the road from CR 419 to Mitchell Hammock Road near the Balwin Fairchild Funeral Home. The intersection is signalized. This project is funded by Transportation Impact Fees and One Cent Sales Tax proceeds.
