Drug-Free Workplace
The City of Oviedo is a drug-free workplace. When an applicant is offered employment, it is conditional upon successfully passing a drug test which screens for the presence of controlled substances, narcotic drugs and alcohol. Refusal to take the test, or failure to pass the test according to minimum standards, is cause for disqualification. If employed, the City may require subsequent drug tests. Refusal or failure to pass the test according to minimum standards, will result in termination.
