Sharp Container Program

Do you have the need to dispose of medical syringes?

     The City of Oviedo Fire Rescue Emergency Management in cooperation with Seminole County Environmental Services, provides "free" Sharp Containers for those residential customers who have a need to dispose of medical syringes.  The Sharp Container Program offers a "free" Sharp Container available for pickup at any of our Fire Station locations.  You must be a resident of Seminole County and may reside outside the Oviedo area or within the City Limits of Oviedo to qualify for the program.

     Simply visit any Oviedo Fire Rescue Station to acquire your free container and bring your filled container for disposal,  Hours of operation are 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.  If the Fire Station is not occupied at the time of your visit, you may need to visit one of the other Fire Station locations or come back at a later time.  You may also visit our Oviedo Fire Administration Office, 8 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday only.
