Lockwood Blvd Sidewalk Project

Construction of approximately 8,000 feet of 6-foot and 8-foot wide concrete sidewalk along the west side of North Lockwood Boulevard was completed and closed out in November of 2010.

The new trail/sidewalk which was constructed by M.J.S. Concrete, Inc. and designed by in-house engineering staff, contributes to the overall Transportation (Pedestrian) Masterplan for the City of Oviedo and enhances the City’s trail system.   The project was funded by the theAmerican Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), better known as "Stimulus Funding", and completes the missing sections of sidewalk to provide a continuous trail/sidewalk from CR419 to CR426 along the west side of the roadway.

The new sidewalk/trail runs adjacent to the City’s Shane Kelly Park. For more information about this completed project, please contract the City's Engineering Department at (407) 971-5641.
