Construction of the Downtown Lift Station re-route project was completed in November, 2011 by Blue Ox Extereprises.  

The re-route was necessary to eliminate manifolding with other lift stations.  Prior to the re-route, the force main ran east from the intersection of Oviedo Blvd. and Broadway Street to Academy Avenue, south around Jackson Heights Middle School and then west back to Oviedo Blvd.  The new 8-inch force main reduces the route by approximately 19,000 feet.
