McKinnon North and South Outfall Stormwater Project

The McKinnon North and South Projects are located in the Alafaya Woods Subdivision.

 
The McKinnon North (Pond 90) project is intended to convert a dry bottom pond into a wet bottom pond with a water feature appeal to the site. This project consist of removing the existing vegetation and increasing the volume and capacity of the pond. New control structures along with mitered end sections for contributing piping will be installed. Additional benefits will be to provide habitat to support fish and appropriate aquatic vegetation. This project includes engineering, hydraulic, structural design, permitting, survey and geotechnical services.
 
The McKinnon South project is intended to repair deteriorating headwalls on both sides of the culvert crossing McKinnon. Additionally, this project will provide for restoring and armoring the bottom and banks of the flow way starting at the North side of McKinnon Avenue to approximately 1500 feet down stream. This project includes engineering, hydraulic, structural design, permitting,survey and geotechnical services.
 
Currently, McKinnon North and South Outfall projects are not funded for construction. Engineering and permitting is complete for both North and South projects and and projects remain "Shovel Ready" should funding become available.
