City of Oviedo residents and businesses receive discounts on their Flood Insurance through the City's continued participation in FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and Community Rating System (CRS) Program. 

By continuing to perform flood protection activities above and beyond the minimum requirements of the NFIP, the City was awarded enough CRS points to obtain a Class 8 recertification resulting in a flood insurance reduction percentage of ten percent (10%) for City of Oviedo citizens. 

If you currently have flood insurance or are thinking about purchasing flood insurance, make sure you talk to your insurance provider regarding your eligibility to receive up to a ten percent (10%) discount on your premiums.  For more information, please contact the City's Floodplain Manager at 407-971-5681.
