The Traffic Unit is tasked with the reduction of traffic crashes and related injuries and fatalities through proactive enforcement efforts and community education programs designed to create a higher awareness of traffic safety.

Traffic Unit participates in the Seminole County Community Traffic Safety Team, Buckle Up Florida Campaign and You Drink You Drive You Lose Program.

The Oviedo Motors Officers participated in escorting the Australian National Swim Team.

Traffic Unit is responsible for responding to traffic complaints made by citizens of Oviedo.

When school is in session, the Traffic Unit concentrates patrols in the school zones before and after school daily.
