K-9 Unit

K-9 Team

The Police Department has one K-9 team, Officer David Capetillo and Nero.

Nero is a 1-year-old German Shepard from Germany weighing approximately 80 lbs.

Nero is trained in the detection of several types of drugs and narcotics, area searches for evidence, building searches and suspect apprehension.

The K-9 team is available for demonstrations to civic groups and special events upon request.
