The Community Response Team (CRT) uses a variety of plainclothes and uniformed techniques to address ongoing community problems; to stop crimes in progress and to monitor convicted felons and sexual offenders/predators.  Oviedo Police Task Force Agents assigned outside the department are also part of CRT. To contact a member of CRT by phone dial 407-971-5710 or email drugsandgangs@cityofoviedo.net

The Communications Division is responsible for handling all incoming calls to the police department. These calls include 9-1-1, emergency, and non-emergency calls for service. In addition, the communications center handles all radio traffic and monitors numerous mutual aid frequencies. After normal business hours, walk-in complaints are also handled at the lobby window by the communications staff. We utilize a CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system to dispatch officers to calls, track the locations of the officers, and input important information into the call records. Email: dispatch@cityofoviedo.net

The Oviedo Police Department Records office handles all the reports generated by the officers and acts as a warehouse and distribution center for processing police records. The primary responsibility of the Records Specialist is to ensure all police reports comply with Florida State Statutes.  Email records@cityofoviedo.net
