The D.A.R.E program promotes positive relationships with Oviedo's youth and the Oviedo Police Department. The program, taught at the elementary school level, provides our youth with the tools they need to stay off drugs and resist peer pressure.
Drug Abuse Resistance Education has been an important educational tool nationwide since the early 80's. The program has been instrumental to the department's youth programs.
Officer Diane Duffy is the current D.A.R.E Officer. She teaches D.A.R.E in all four of the city's elementary schools: Evans Elementary, Lawton Elementary, Partin Elementary, and Stenstrom Elementary.
