The Oviedo Police Department partners with the Seminole County School Board to ensure your child attends school in a safe environment. A School Resource Officer is available in a "full time" capacity at the City's high school, middle schools, and elementary schools. The four school resource officers appointed to our city's schools perform the following daily tasks which include but are not limited to; campus security, traffic control, mediator, SAFE Team leader, teacher, role model, mentor, counselor's and dean's assistant, as well as investigating all criminal activity taking place on campus.
Protecting our most precious resource, our children.
Evans, Lawton, Partin, and Stenstrom Elementary Schools are covered by our dedicated D.A.R.E Officer Diane Duffy.
