Frequently Asked Questions

Does it matter that my child has never been on a swim team?
No!  We are a novice team.  The children learn about the basics of competitive swimming.  We focus on stroke fundamentals and endurance.

What if my child does not pass the try-out?
We offer Swim Lessons for children including a Pre Cuda swim lesson.  When you complete the try-out please ask the instructor which Level your child would be placed in.  Flyers are located at both Riverside Park and the Gym and Aquatic Facility.

What should my swimmer bring to practice?
A towel, goggles and something to drink (water or Gatorade)!  We highly recommend goggles as the water is sometimes hard on the swimmers’ eyes with the amount of time they spend in the water.

What happens if it is raining and/or storming?
Practice will only be cancelled if there is thunder/lightning or heavy rain.  We will not decide to cancel practice until 15 minutes prior.  If the weather is extremely bad we will cancel sooner.  Please call the weather hotline at 407-971-5587 for information on practice.
