Requirements for consistency between the local Comprehensive Plan and the Land Development Code vary from state to state.  In Florida, each local government is required to adopt and enforce land development regulations that are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan.  The City of Oviedo Land Development Code (LDC) is the legal device to carry out the City’s Comprehensive Plan.  The Zoning Map illustrates how the entire area of a community is classified and divided up into distinct zoning districts.
