McKinnon North and South Outfall Stormwater Project

The McKinnon North and South Projects are located in the Alafaya Woods Subdivision.

SR434/Central Avenue Sidewalk Project

The SR434/Central Avenue Streetscape/Sidewalk project was bid on September 18th with bids being received on October 18th.  A construction contract was awarded to Central Florida Environmental on November 7, 2011 and the work is currently underway.  For road work  schedule and/or closures, please refer to the New Alert section of the City's web site.

Mitchell Hammock Right Turn Lane

In an effort to improve the capacity of the Mitchell Hammock/ SR-434 intersection, specifically the west leg, the City has increased the storage length of the existing east bound right turn lane on Mitchell Hammock Road by approximately 400 feet.

Downtown Lift Station Force Main Improvement Project

Construction of the Downtown Lift Station re-route project was completed in November, 2011 by Blue Ox Extereprises.  

Aulin Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project

The Aulin Avenue Stormwater project was developed to eliminate flooding and pavement deterioration on Aulin Avenue South and its contributing streets. This project consists of curbing and guttering the majority of the southern section of Aulin Avenue, south of Clark Street.

Raw Water Line Conversion and Water System Improvements

The Raw Water Main Conversion and Water System Improvement Project was substantially complete on January 6, 2011.  This approximately $1 million dollar water system improvement project began in February of 2010 to improve system water quality and pressure.  The projected converted a raw water line that transmitted water to the AM Jones Water Trea

Jackson Heights Middle School Sidewalk Project

The Jackson Height Middle School "Safe Routes to School" Sidewalk Improvement Project project is currently in the construction phase and should be complete by early August.  The project was bid in September, 2011 and was awarded by City Council to Stage Door II who was the low bidder. 

Annual Road Resurfacing

Resurfacing

Resurfacing work for the current fiscal year began in March and is currently underway.  The project should be complete within 90 days.  The project was advertised via Bid No. 11-12 and was awarded by City Council to The Middlesex Corporation who was the low bidder.

New Police Headquarters Building

The existing City of Oviedo Police Department building is currently at capacity and is not functionally adequate to efficiently address the City's needs.  The current building cannot be expanded to adequately provide for the Department's current space needs estimated at 21,000 square feet or future anticipated space needs estimated at 26,000 square feet.  This deficiency was
